SELF ESTEEM – “YOU CAN GET IT IF YOU REALLY WANT” (JIMMY CLIFF COVER)
The new BBC series, “This Town,” set in the 2-Tone ska scene of the early 1980s, closes each episode with a cover of a period-appropriate song. The first episode features Self Esteem covering Jimmy Cliff’s classic, “You Can Get it If You Really Want”.

MARGAUX – “I WOULDN’T WANT IT ANY OTHER WAY”
Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Margaux Bouchegnies has announced her debut full-length album, “Inside the Marble,” which is set to be released on June 7 via Massif Records. Her delicate new single, “I Wouldn’t Want It Any Other Way,” explores the emotions surrounding a breakup and the longing for lost friendship.

JANE PENNY (TOPS) – “BEAUTIFUL ORDINARY”
Jane Penny, the singer from TOPS, is releasing her debut solo EP this week. The single, “Beautiful Ordinary,” delves into the fear of losing someone you love and the complexities of codependency, set against an ’80s-inspired backdrop.

ROMY – “DID I” (PEACHES REMIX)
Romy, known from The xx, has collaborated with Peaches on a remix of her track, “Did I”. This project celebrates queer dance music and pays tribute to Peaches’ influence in pushing boundaries within the industry.

CADENCE WEAPON – MY COMPUTER FT. MACHINEDRUM
Cadence Weapon’s new song, featuring techno artist Machinedrum, delves into themes of tech companies and their impact on urban landscapes. The track is part of Cadence Weapon’s upcoming album, “ROLLERCOASTER,” set to be released on April 19.

SWAMP DOGG – “COUNT THE DAYS” FT. JENNY LEWIS
Swamp Dogg returns with a new album, “Blackgrass: From West Virginia to 125th St,” featuring the track “Count the Days” sung by Jenny Lewis. The song explores themes of love and longing, backed by a classic retro vibe.

LIP CRITIC – “IN THE WAWA (CONVINCED I AM GOD)”
“Hex Dealer,” the debut album from Lip Critic, features the electro-punk jam, “In the WAWA (Convinced I Am God).” The track captures the essence of a gas station convenience store experience intertwined with a rad musical offering.

GRACE CUMMINGS – “A PRECIOUS THING”
Grace Cummings’ latest single, “A Precious Thing,” is a reflective piece set to be included in her upcoming album, “Ramona.” The song, written on Christmas Eve in 2022, carries a nostalgic yet hopeful tone, epitomized by the removal of the screech of an eagle in favor of a Timpani.

DRAAG – “ORB WEAVER”
Shoegaze band Draag announced their new EP, “Actually, the quiet is nice,” with the release of the first single, “Orb Weaver.” The dreamy track is a preview of what’s to come from the TAGABOW-signed band.

SARAH GRACE WHITE – “SINKHOLE”
Sarah Grace White’s new single, “Sinkhole,” produced in collaboration with Jorge Balbi, is a poignant narrative reflecting the unreliable tint of memory. The reflective piece is a blend of nostalgia and hope, set against a backdrop of an open and hypnotic soundscape.
